And... hopefully Time won't mind, but I have a scan of the article here. I sized it down, so it's not fully readable, but you can still look it over. I also scanned the blurb about ArtistServer and included it in this post.

This is just the fuel I need to get this fire burning. I've been blowing at these flames for so long now, that I started turning blue. I've been working day and night for months years that my studio tan is nearly blinding. And all the while, I kept thinking: work hard - be kind - be the best - help others - focus on the artist. It's so refreshing to know that my efforts are finally taking root, that the message is being recieved, and that the signal is getting stronger.

I had lunch last week with a friend from high school that I hadn't seen in 15 years. He's a guitar player up in Oregon who started an amazing band called "The Stolen Sweets" - they play music from the 20's like you wouldn't believe. If you close your eyes and make a crackle sound with your mouth, it will all sound like some old 78 on the Victrola. Check them out! Anyways... I was talking with my friend Dave, and showed him some of the plans I have for next year. I went over some of the diagrams I have for the new features/systems ArtistServer will offer. Only five people know these plans and maybe three have seen the diagrams. After I went over these, Dave turns to me and asks, "How do you sleep at night? How can you sleep when you have this?" That was a great moment for me, especially considering that Dave isn't a big computer user.

So - here we go. Let's see how well this baby can fly. How far can one guy go with no capital, a Web Server, some code and skills? These days, the truth is out, you can truly make things happen - you just have to be crazy enough, have the time to dedicate to your goal and not concern yourself with what is or isn't possible. Years back, I wondered, "what if it's true, what if you just put your mind to one thing and work really hard, that you'll make it happen?" I had a feeling that it was true.

I want to close by saying thank you to the many amazing people who support ArtistServer and help make it happen. This includes all the guys over at my BBoard, many of whom have been supporting this effort for nearly 5 years now. THANK YOU!

===== Ok now for the scans from Time Magazine =====
